- Prize money of up to $10,000 for Japan and up to $3,000 for the United States is exempt from tax.
However, starting this year, a Certificate of Residence must be submitted to qualify for this exemption. If a Certificate of Residence is not provided, a 22% tax will be applied.
In addition, participants are required to complete a tax exemption application form on site.
Therefore, all Japanese and U.S. participants are kindly requested to bring and submit their Certificate of Residence
